Is this program for my child?

The Advanced K-4 Program is a good option for the following children:

Why offer two options?

We are offering two different programs because we realize that all children do not fit into the same mold.  Each is an individual at his or her own place in development; physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.  One program is not “better” than the other or will better prepare your child for Kindergarten than the other. Each program is designed and offered to reach groups of students at the appropriate point of their developmental need.

Why is screening necessary for registration
in the Advanced K-4 program?

The screening does not provide information regarding your child's intelligence, but rather lets us know if he or she is a good match for the program.  Because this program will resemble a Kindergarten curriculum, we are looking for students who already have most of the readiness skills and who will be successful in this environment.

Can this program be a substitute for Kindergarten?

Can my child go to first grade next year if ready?

No matter which K-4 program your child attends, he or she will still need to be enrolled in a Kindergarten class the following year.
